Pilates for the Core & More

We've all heard how Pilates strengthens your core, but there is so much more to it than that! Pilates is a way to re-establish how you stand, sit and move. Practicing the method involves neuromuscular re-education and is a great way to break out of old postural habits, or simply increase your movement efficiency for more active pursuits. Class members will receive individual attention for their specific needs.

Pre-Natal

Prepares for a healthier pregnancy and allows an easier delivery. Starseed recommends that mommies-to-be begin this class as early in their pregnancy as possible, but women at all stages of pregnancy can be easily accommodated.

Post-Natal

Mommy & Me provides new mothers and infants a wonderful way to restore their bodies after labor. This class is appropriate for babies 6 weeks to 15 months.

Rope Play & More
Yoga on the ropes is a fun and unique way to explore and experience traditional yoga poses. The ropes improve flexibility and circulation throughout the body and help to lengthen and decompress the spine. We will also practice traditional yoga poses "on the mat" and basic pranayama (breathing techniques). This class is appropriate for students with an understanding of the basic poses and methods of alignment.

Seedlings

Our signature "BEGINNER" Series that introduces the foundation of yoga through history, philosophy, asana (poses), and pranayama (breath practice). Available in 4 week sessions.

It emphasizes not only precision in the poses, but how tuning in to the way the body moves into alignment creates a sense of ease, balance and ultimately, embodiment. It also touches on the “why” of yoga, creating awareness of why (and how) what we do in class enhances our health and wellness – from the cellular level to our organs and glands, to the subtler realms of mind. All levels are welcomed and encouraged to practice at their own pace.
