SPRING 2008 USUI REIKI TRAININGS

What is Reiki?

The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and is connected directly to the quality of health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. The existence of this “life force energy” has been verified by recent scientific experiments, and medical doctors are considering the role it plays in the functioning of the immune system and the healing process.

Reiki is a technique that promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and well being, allowing everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve health and enhance the quality of life. A simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master. Its use is not dependent on one’s intellectual capacity or spiritual development and, therefore, is available to everyone. It has been successfully transmitted to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. A treatment provides glowing radiance your body. Reiki treats the body, emotions, mind and spirit, creates relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being.

Level I Reiki Training & Attunement
This is a complete training in Reiki’s origins, theory and applications for persons who wish to be attuned as Reiki Level I practitioners, or who, having been previously attuned at that level, want a review of Reiki’s principles.

Level II Reiki Training & Attunement
For individuals possessing Level I attunement.
A detailed study of three Reiki symbols, their mantram, derivations and uses, complete with demonstrations and hands-on practice. This course includes a discussion of the Vedic origins of Reiki and of the esoteric anatomy of the human body’s Chakras, Nadis and Koshas and their significance for Reiki practitioners.

Enrollment is limited to (1) individuals who have completed Starseed’s course in Ayurvedic Energy Healing (including Reiki I attunement) or (2) individuals who have obtained Reiki I attunement.

Level III Reiki Training & Attunement
A brief review of the knowledge base of Level II practice, followed by a detailed study of the Reiki Master Symbol, its mantra, derivation and uses, demonstration and hands-on practice. A detailed study of advanced Reiki modalities (e.g., for treating specific conditions) as well as Reiki ethics, teaching methods, and the liturgy of the Attunement process.

Enrollment in this course is limited to (1) individuals who have completed the instructor’s course in Level II Reiki or (2) individuals who have otherwise obtained Reiki II attunement.
