In addition to the required course work and independent study, your training will be provided by experienced teachers skilled at helping students develop confidence and their own authentic teaching style." --- Jyoti Chrystal, E.R.Y.T. - Starseed's Late Founder & Director SSYTT OPEN HOUSE TEAS THE PROGRAM Starseed's Yoga Teacher Training Program (SSYTT) was developed and elaborated by the late Jyoti Chrystal over a number of years, and has a great many graduates teaching yoga in countries around the world, as well as in a great many yoga studios in our region - a testimony to the thoroughness and efficiency of Starseed's training and the high level of professionalism manifested in its its graduates! Jyoti's personally trained senior yoga teachers and yoga teacher educators now assure a continuity of the highest quality training available. Our program promises a deep personal experience; one that will enrich your life, your personal practice and knowledge of the application of yoga in a very practical way. You will gain self-awareness and the potency to fill your life with more joy and passion! We offer the tools needed to become an effective and inspiring yoga teacher. In addition to the required course work and independent study, your training will be provided by experienced teachers skilled at helping students develop confidence and their own authentic teaching style. Our program distinguishes itself from others, in part, because of our emphasis on the development of a personal practice. Jyoti Chrystal's hand-selected faculty and staff is skilled and intuitive at nurturing and mentoring students to develop their own unique and personal yoga practice. A good teacher’s personal practice is, Jyoti often said, fundamental to their foundation.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
SCHEDULE SSYTT's 2009-2010 training schedule is being compiled and the following workshops will be offered. Trainees can expect to have monthly workshops, on Saturday and Sunday, from 2:00 to 6:00pm, and can expect to be present at the studio for classes twice weekly. Workshops include: Weekend 1: Weekend 2: Weekend 5: Weekend 6: Weekend 7: Weekend 8: Weekend 10:
PRICING Entire program tuition cost is $3500 ($3200. if paid before September 17th: cash, check, money order or major credit card. A $50. application fee is due upon registration which will be applied to tuition. A $1000 deposit is due by September 5th, 2009. Remaining balance is due by September 25, 2009. If you withdraw from the program before September
15th, 2009 you will be refunded your deposit minus a $250.00 cancellation
fee. If you withdraw from the program after its start date, we do
not offer a refund. Tuition for the program includes: * 9 weekend trainings THE NEXT
STEP CERTIFICATION Certification is dependent upon successful completion of all assigned work and the staff’s collective evaluation of the student’s ability to adequately evaluate, demonstrate and communicate the art and science of yoga. Prior to certification, students will be required to successfully teach an audition classes. Additionally, students will be required to sign a statement obligating them to observe professional rules of ethical conduct upon graduating.
