MADELANA FERRARA, M.A., R.Y.T. – “Madi” has her Masters degree in Exercise Science from Montclair State University. She is a trained shamanic hypnotist, certified by Jason Martin. She is a Thai Yoga bodywork practitioner and is presently training in the Trager Method of movement re-education and neuromuscular integration. Initially trained under the guidance of Jyoti Chrystal as a yoga teacher, and subsequently trained in Anusara yoga with John Friend, she is currently exploring ways that all paths lead to God in her yoga. A long-time and committed Starseedling, she spearheaded Starseed’s growth from its earliest days by playing roles in administrative, teaching, and yoga teacher training aspects. Madi just released her first book co-authored with Starseed student and Catholic priest, Anthony Randazzo. The book, entitled Beatitudes, Christ and the Practice of Yoga: a sacred log on land and sea is available at Starseed, at local bookstores in Montclair, and online through www.amazon.com and www.bn.com.
